Acute Ilio-Femoral Thrombosis in a Patient with Chronic Infra-renal Inferior Vena Cava Occlusion Treated with Mechanical Thrombectomy Using a Rotational Catheter

چکیده
Case Report: A 28-year-old man complained acute low-back pain three-day post-appendectomy. Computed tomography revealed thrombosis of both iliac veins and ascending lumbar vein in a patient with chronic occlusion of infra-renal inferior vein cava. Consequent lumbar and intraspinal epidural venous engorgements caused nerve root and thecal sac compression that simulated a spinal stenosis. Complete symptoms resolution was achieved after thrombectomy using a rotational catheter.

Multifactorial Neonatal Thrombosis in Inferior Vena Cava Dislodged to the Right Atrium: A Case Report
Background: Neonatal thrombotic diseases can cause mortality or serious morbidity and disability.Case report: In this report, we present a case of neonatal inferior vena cava thromboembolism with several underlyingfactors. Hereditary thrombophilia and genetic mutation in plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 and MTHFR A1298C genesin conjunction with cleft palate resulted in poor l...
متن کاملINFERIOR VENA CAVA THROMBOSIS IN A PATIENT WITH ESSENTIAL THROMBOCYTHEMIA
Essential thrombocythemia is a chronic myeloproliferative disorder characterized by a sustained proliferation of megakaryocytes, which leads to increased numbers of circulating platelets. Hemorrhagic and/or thrombotic episodes are frequent, and thrombosis of both veins and arteries may develop. Vessels in unusual sites may be involved, e.g., the hepatic veins, mesenteric veins, and the dig...
متن کاملDelayed Presentation of Endovenous Heat-Induced Thrombosis Treated by Thrombolysis and Subsequent Open Thrombectomy
Although endovenous heat-induced thrombosis (EHIT) is frequently reported after endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), the incidence and timing of occurrence of EHIT are not fully understood. We present a case of EHIT successfully treated with a combination of surgical and endovascular treatments. A 57-year-old woman, two months post bilateral EVLA, presented with a swollen leg. Deep vein thrombosis...
متن کاملRenal Ewing\'s sarcoma with the spread of tumor thrombosis to the inferior vena cava: case report
Background: Ewing's sarcoma/Primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) is a group of tumors with small round cells that originate from nerve stem cells. They are generally more common in children and often occur in the soft or bony tissues of the limbs, trunk, head, and neck. Ewing's sarcoma is a rare disease in the kidney and its tumor thrombosis into Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) is assumed as a very ...
متن کاملAdult Wilms tumor with inferior vena cava thrombus and distal deep vein thrombosis – a case report and literature review
BACKGROUND Adult Wilms tumor (WT, nephroblastoma) is a rare, but well-described renal neoplasm. Although inferior vena cava tumor thrombosis is present in up to 10% of Wilms tumors in childhood, only few cases of this clinical manifestation in adults have been reported. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of adult WT infiltrating into inferior vena cava (IVC) with concomitant d...
